Artist's Statement

My paintings are often dawn, twilight or evening scenes when light takes on a mood of its own; the world is changed in beautiful and enigmatic ways.  It may be the violet-reds of a sunrise, or neon lights casting shadows on an urban building; I look for a subject that intrigues and draws me into its emerging mystery.
